In 2021 Sean Holland released a video version of Warren Zevon’s “Poor, Poor, Pitiful Me” from his studio in Los Angeles. This version features Randy Cooke, Donna De Lory, Prince Stash De Rola, Fred Walecki, Joe Diangelo, Ron Swallow, Phil Parlapiano, Cheryl Fudge, Peter Prince, Fred Goldring and many more. This is the 4th version that features iconic session guitar player/producer Waddy Wachtel, guitarist on Zevon’s original version (1976), Linda Ronstadt’s version (1977) produced by Peter Asher, and also on Jackson Browne’s (2004) version with Bonnie Raitt (Waddy played guitar and produced with Jorge Calderón).

#WHOSTHEGIRL2020

The Writing & Recording of "Girl From The Party”.

Inspired by the true life romantic tragedy, this short documentary showcases a blown opportunity with a Hollywood Starlet, that became a vehicle to making another dream come true.

Co-starring legendary drummer, James Gadson (Bill Withers, Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson, Aretha Franklin...etc), this is Sean's remedially produced, first venture into video filmmaking. While it won't win any awards for cinematography, it's honesty and the odd pairing of Gadson, a legend, and Holland, an 'under the radar' (AKA 'virtually unknown') writer/producer is enjoyable in a cathartic way; showing some special moments that exist far beyond the industry illusions assumed by most of the world.
